It has begun!  Between NOW and 2011 there will be an increase of troops to our area bases: Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, and New River Air Station.  We are expecting 9,900 military personnel and families and also additional civilian support.  In 2007 Bush called from an increase of the USMC workforce from 180,000 to 202,000.  There is talk of an additional gate at Camp Lejeune off of Highway 24 but no proposed locations have been named though it is understood that options are being evaluated.
